Original language description
Since 1999 a four-year comparative performance test of all-female and bisexual population of common carp have been carried out at USB RIFCH Vodňany. The aim of this study is to verify hypothesis that carp all-female population grows faster due to later maturing and so there are no losses in growth performance off gametogenesis. Next to weight gain also survival was observed as other important indicator of carp efficiency. All-female population was obtained by crossing of sex reverse gynogenetic Northernmirror carp female (M72) with pure M72 strain and scaly Ropsa carp (ROP), respectively. Acquired all-female and bisexual mirror and scaly offspring were reared in first year of their life separately with control strain of distinct phenotype of scalinnesfor correction of environmental influence.
