RELATIONSHIPS BETWEEN MEAT PERFORMANCE PARAMETERS OF BOHEMIAN SPOTTED CATTLE BULLS AND THEIR CROSSBREDS WITH BEEF BREEDS
Original language description
Meat performance parameters were controlled in 119 bulls - F1 crossbreeds of Bohemian Spotted and Black Pied cattle with beef sires - Aberdeen Angus (AA), Limousine (LI), Blonde d´Aquitaine (BA), and Charolais (CH). Bohemian Spotted bulls (n = 51) formedthe control group. Bulls were reared and fattened under comparable conditions at a fattening performance testing station. High correlations (***) were found between 500 day - live weight and dressed carcass weight (HJOT), net gain (NP), total meat we ight, grade I meat weight, grade II meat weight, and bone weight in all controlled sets. As for dressing percentage, positive correlations were found only in LI set (rxy=0.336*) and C set (rxy=0.292*). Slaughter weight effect on MLLT (musculus longissimus lumborum and thoracis) was evident only in AA set and in CH set (rxy=0.482* , rxy=0.490*, resp.). Correlations between 500 day - live weight and kidney fat and 500 day live weight and separable fat were highly positive (***) excluding AA s
