Induction of ovulation in fish is used since twentieth of the last century, mostly the extract of acetone dried hypophysis or HCG were used. Nearly forty years ago the analogues of GnRH (LH-RH) the releasing hormone of gonadotropins (GtH or LH) was succesfully used in the ovulation of grass and silver carp in China fish farms. Hundreds of reports are appearing since this time btinging the information on the use of different GnRH analogues and their combination with pituitary extracts or beta-dopaminergic inhibitors (domperidon, haloperidone, pimozide, isofloxythepin). We will illustrate our approach using several analogues of GnRH and the combination of the peptide with isofloxythepin. Carp (Cyprinus carpio L.) belongs in Czech Republic to the most favourited and artificial stripping is the only way how to reproduced it in the conditions of fish farms.
