Use of two transcription starts in the G6PD gene of the bark beetle Ips typographus

  • Original language description

The I. typographus gene encoding glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase (G6PD) includes eight exons, spans over 7100 nucleotides, and by means of two transcription starts generates in all developmental stages of the bark beetle two slightly different mRNA isoforms.

Využití dvou počátků transkripce genu G6PD u kůrovce Ips typographus

  • Czech description

Gen kódující u I. typographus glucoso-6-phosfát dehydrogenázu (G6PD) zahrnuje osm exonů, sestává ze 7100 nucleotidů a prostřednictvím dvou počátků transkripce produkuje ve všech vývojových stádiích kůrovce dvě mírně odlišné izoformy mRNA.
