The conservation of insect biodiversity associated with isoleted peat bogs depends on complete preservation of the edaphic ecological condition of the fragile paleorefugial habitat island and its spatial structure. The model locality is the Mrtvy Luh bogand its selected groups of beetles and month.

Prostorové rozšíření střevlíků (Coleoptera: Carabidae) a nočních motýlů rašeliniště Mrtvý luh, Šumava (Střední Evropa): Test biotopového ostrovního společenstva
Czech description
Ochrana biodiversity hmyzu isolovaných rašelinišť závisí na úplném zachování edafických ekologických podmínek. Jde o paleorefugium biotopového ostrova a jeho prostorovou strukturu. Modelovou lokalitou je rašeliniště Mrtvý luh a vybrané skupiny brouků a nočních motýlů.
