Review on the distribution and new detections of the invasive grapevine aphid, Aphis illinoisensis Shimer brings evidence in Crete/Greece, Turkey, Northern Cyprus, Malta, Israel, Montenegro, Tunisia, Algeria and Libya Further invasion has been predictedfor all the other areas of viticulture in the Mediterranean, the Southeastern and Central Europe. A review of parasitoids is also presented, together with their possible role in an ecological management of the new pest.
