A new species of Cerura Schrank, 1802 (Lepidoptera, Notodontidae) from Southern Kazakhstan

Original language description

A new Cerura is described here after the examination of the set of Notodontidae moths collected by Dmitry Shovkoonin the Ugam Mountains (Southern Kazakhstan, West Tian-Shan). The set contained three undetermined Cerura mixed with five specimens of Cerura przewalskii (Alpheraky, 1882). The moths differ well externally by greyish color and prominently marked pattern of the forewings. The new species is apparently closely related to C. viidaleppi Schintlmeister, 2008.
