Global profiling of differential genes and proteins expression in alternative forms of Borrelia
Original language description
Lyme borreliosis is a tick-borne disease that can be successfully cured by antibiotics at the early stages of infection, targeting the replicative form of the causative agent of disease, spirochetes from Borrelia burgdorferi sensu lato complex. However, up to 20% of patients still have persisting symptoms even after the treatment.
