Evaluation of the lethal and sublethal effects of fenpyroximate on Scolothrips longicornis, a non-target predator of spider mites
Original language description
This study examines the sublethal effects of the pesticide fenpyroximate on Scolothrips longicornis, a key predator of the two-spotted spider mite, in laboratory conditions. While the pesticide did not affect juvenile development or survival, it significantly reduced adult longevity and fecundity at sublethal concentrations. Higher concentrations also lengthened the preoviposition period and shortened the oviposition period. The findings highlight the importance of considering sublethal pesticide impacts on biocontrol agents in integrated pest management (IPM) programs.
