Biodiversity of ombrotrophic mires is a phenomenon of three levels of biological organisation: (1) ecosystem diversity - habitat islands, (2) species diversity - biota of tyrphobiontic, tyrphophilous and tyrphoneutral species, and (3) genetic diversity of species populations - geographical races of isolated taxa. Synthesis of these three levels conforms to the conservation biology of isolated habitats of peat bogs in Central Europe
