Based on results obtained 55 genotypes originating from 5 different cross combination were chosen for a trial on fungicide non-treated plot, tottally 20 varieties with various maturity types and various level of resistance to foliage late blight were given to genotypes for comparison and susceptible variety ASTERIX was selected as a spreader in field conditions in spring 2000 with solution of the project EP 9334 " Development of Initial Materials with Genes of Horizontal Resistance to Late Blight". After planting beginning May standard cultural practice were carried out and occutence of foliage late blight was observed in regular intervals.Leaf area infection was assessed in percent and according to ADPC value.The 22.August was a decisive term of evaluation for determination of resistance level.when the highest infeczion pressure was finished and differences among clones were the most apparent.In September, harvest was performed and analyses of tuber material followed.Promising experim
