Handling of ware potatoes by washing is a common consumers requirement at present. Tuber damages caused by diseases and/or abiotic injuries and pests deteriorate marketability of ware potatoes. From diseases, black scurf and silver scurf deteriorate internal tuber quality. Among individual diseases there were found large differences in disease occurrence and also in suitability of potatoes for washing

Czech description
Úprava konzumních brambor mytím hlíz je v současné době běžným požadavkem spotřebitele. Poškození hlíz chorobami, případně abionózami a škůdci zhoršuje jejich uplatnění na trhu. Z chorob je to především vločkovitost hlíz a stříbřitost slupky, které zhoršují vnější kvalitu hlíz. Mezi jednotlivými odrůdami byly zjištěny značné rozdíly, a to jak ve výskytu chorob, tak i ve vhodnosti k mytí hlíz.
