Journal of the European Associatin for Potato Research, 2014, vol. 57, Issue 2, s. 172-173. In the Czech Republic Colorado potato beetle (Leptinotarsa decemlineata) has been the most important biting pest of potatoes. At present, it usually produces two generations in the early potato production regions of the Czech Republic. Exact field trials with insecticides were established during 2010 and 2013 in the early potato production region in Žabčice, in the agricultural enterprise belonging to Mendel University in Brno. They belong to the warmest localities in the territory of the Czech Republic.
