At the EAO congress there were presented many interesting clinical studies, new scientific achievement but also practical aspects of clinical dental implantology. Some conclusions were derived from presentations such as that the mechanical roughness of implants is not crucial, that acid etching of surface is more appropriate than alcaline one, and that it is of high interest to study photo functionalization of implant surface by UV light.
