Report on Defence Research and Development Support Function analysis analytical support to decision making in the area of defence and security within Canadian Ministry of Defence and drawing on Canadian experience and lessons learned offers relevant and most valuable recommendations for the reinforcement of the Czech Ministry of Defence business processes. Canada processes constitute a viable model which contributes to the establishment of best practices in the area of defence research and development management among NATO allies and partners. Research is based on exchange of views and experience with several CORA managers and analysts and on analysis of DND, CAF, DRDC and CORA internal documents and studies dealing with military capability development methods, scenario design, future security analysis methods, concept development approaches, capability assessment methodologies, and defence planning and decision support best practices.
