Carbon monoxide from the vehicles used in the Army of the Czech Republic

  • Original language description

The paper deals with emissions that are from military vehicles during the operations. Military vehicles belongs to the category of so-calle mobile pollution source and the total emissions may be calculated according to the MESED methodology. This methodology is based on fuel consumption and the establishement of emission factors. In the paper, the total fuel consumption for training years 2005, 2006 and 2007 as well as total emissions of carbon monoxide for the selected years are calculated. The monitoring of emissions levels in the Army of the Czech Republic allows a more precise estimation of the total emissions originating from mobile pollution sources in the Czech Republic.
