Original language description
In recent years there has been an increasing occurrence of mass development of blue-green algae in drinking water supply reservoirs and in reservoirs intended for recreation purposes due to natural and anthropogenic influences. With this phenomenon the increased risk of human health hazard is connected when people come into contact with toxins produced by blue-green algae, i.e. cyanotoxins. The paper is focused on the method to eliminate blue-green algae blooms in water supply reservoirs, to restrain their mass development and to assess financial requirements for applying particular methods with a selected water supply and recreational reservoir.
