The paper deals with selected aspects of achieving success by newcomer officers after their graduation at the military schools. Despite the sufficient level of military tertiary education the graduates ? young officers face the necessity of leading theirsubordinated soldiers who are more professional and experienced at the military craft after several military missions then they are after graduation at a military university/academy.
