The operational concept, in fact, is a general approach to a potential military problem; it represents a ?working hypothesis? for such a solution of a given problem that can be examined and shaped in the future through the method of wargaming, application of simulation technologies as well as field exercises prior to getting the pertinent operational concept codified as a doctrine. The paper is a part of the defence research project named ?Operational Concepts of the Armed Forms of the Czech Republic inJoint Operations?, that is being solved at the University of Defence in Brno (CZ). Project based on the analysis undertaken in the field of methods of generation of military concepts, is solving the ?Proposal of operational concept of the Armed Forces of the Czech Republic in joint operations? and ?Methodology of generation and development of operational concepts?.
