    The paper deals with the possible solutions of savings in relation to the real operation of military vehicles in the Army of the Czech Republic, based on theoretical knowledge of additives and especially the additive under the trade name Envirox. Theoretical study has been prepared as part of research work. Considered reduction in fuel consumption is applied to the real operation of diesel engines. By planned applying of additives, there was a reduction of fuel consumption, reduction of negative effectson the environment by reducing emissions of gases and particular matters. The overall assessment showed decrease in funds for the operation of vehicles. Another option significantly affecting vehicle operating costs are mainly renovation and modernization of the fleet of military vehicles. It is realized on supply vehicles the operation of logistics units and it can be realized by the combat vehicles as the PANDUR, IVECO or DINGO types.
