    As we know, landmines are very effective weapon. The benefit against enemy is high. There are, however, some problems to resolve, e.g. difference between old and modern landmines, their effect to vehicles, externalities in future etc., so armies have tocalculate with. This paper analyzes economic and military factors of using landmines, compares economic efficiency of old and modern landmines and provides a model for calculation and decision process of commanders
