Original language description
The article deals with a theory of Operational Art related to operations planning processes as described in new doctrinal publications AJP-5 and COPD. Sound understanding of these processes, facilitates Command and Control (C2) function and no longer isan option; it is a critical requirement to cope successfully emerging security and operational challenges. Implementation of new approaches increase capabilities of operational planning groups and allows more effective planning of future operations. Moreover, this is a framework for improvement of architectural design hierarchy in the command and control systems. Information mentioned in the article may serve as a source of knowledge and be helpful for military professionals in the Armed Forces of the Czech Republic.
