Conflict management: Comparative analysis military students' preparation
Original language description
A conflict is not very easy to control. Disagreements, differences of opinion and conflicting perspectives on key issues inevitably arise in any context where people are working together. Military endeavors related to the management of violent conflict constitute an important and popular field of academic enquiry. This article describes the theoretical foundations of conflict management. It synthesizes the existing literature on the topic and carefully considers the purpose of military conflict management operations. The research was conducted by students (cadets) of the Faculty of Military Leadership (UJniverzity of Defence) and Vasil Levski National Military University. The purpose of this undertaking is to develop further the understanding of conflict management and the role of the military in this regard. The paper presents the results of the questionnaire survey, which shows the key points of student preparation for conflict management. The output of the comparative analysis is formulated by differences between the students of both universities.
