Selected risk treatment of electronic warfare development
Original language description
The paper deals with risk estimation calculated as a combination of critical asset rate and critical hazard rate according to the internal risk assessment procedure for 93 identified hazards. As a part of the risk assessment results estimation, critical assets and unacceptable risks have been identified with priority being given to risk treatment. Risk ranking was established depending on the risk rate which also contributed to the prioritization within the risk treatment. In accordance with the general risk management procedures, risk treatment for unacceptable risks was adopted by reducing the critical asset rate and the critical hazard rate or by a combination of both approaches. The article describes the measures proposed to reduce or minimize unacceptable risks in the selected area. The results of critical assets treatment show that reducing critical asset rate through availability/sensitivity and repairability/replaceability parameters seems to be complicated due to uniqueness and specificity of the electronic warfare development assets. For this reason, risk treatment requires minimizing the hazard activation probability. This proactive approach is based on reducing the critical hazard rate, i.e. reducing the intensity rate of the hazard impact parameter on the asset and the hazard determination/intent, and at the same time it contributes the long-term development of electronic warfare area.
