The paper discusses strains acting near the front end closure of solid propellant rocket motor. Results of solution are illustrated in form of stress courses acting in the nearness of front cover linked up the torispherical part of solid propellant combustion chamber. The constructions in case considered represent thin-walled shell, loaded by symmetrical loads.There also discussed techniques of measurements of the edge effect strains.

Článek pojednává o působení mechanického napětí v oblasti přechodu válcové skořepiny do torosferického dna na spalovací komoře raketového motoru na tuhou pohonnou hmotu. Výsledná napětí jsou interpretována na oblasti zkoumaného přechodu. Konstrukce dna je presentována jako tenkostěnná, osově symetrická skořepina, zatížená symetrickým zatížením. V závěru je pojednáno o měření napjatosti ve zkoumané oblasti.
