The inception and main scope of Čáslav Tactical Air Force Base.
Original language description
The contribution analyzes the inception and development of the tactical air force base includ-ing the aircraft that have been used to meet both the training and combat tasks at Čáslav air-field. These are primarily MiG-15, 21, 23, L-39, 159 ALCA, Su-7 and transport helicopters Mi series. Over the times of the base?s operation, a great number of pilots have changed for one another of whom many have become significant and respected front-rankers of the Czech Air Forces. A below paragraph mentions 1st Fighter Squadron, bearing the title of ?Tiger Squadron?, which has been incepted an honorary member of the NATO Tiger Association. The conclusion of the article makes clear the air base infrastructure and the command and control system in accord with the requirements of the Air Forces.
