    This contribution deals with a method of the alignment of the experimental weapon system, which was designed within the frame of the research project of Faculty of military technology no. 402 - ?Research into passive optic-electronic systems of automatictarget tracking for fire-control systems?. This method gives possibility to determine the mutual position of the mechanical barrel axis and the optical sight axis and provide the correct aiming of the gun in case of the distributed weapon system, i.e. the weapon system when the weapon is not mechanically connected with the sight.
