The article deals with adaptation of the military base for helicopter unit and describes principles applicable for selecting and designing of the heliports. Transport by helicopters is currently one of the most important kinds of unit?s movement in foreign missions. Therefore it is necessary to respond to this fact and prepare a useful tool for engineers who would carry out this adaptation. The article is prepared in accordance with the Defence Research Project named: ?Technical support of design, building, maintenance and cancelling of the Czech military bases in missions abroad, using the Reach-Back concept?
