Magnetic Flux Density Computation and Measurement in Simple Magnetic Filter
Original language description
Magnetic filters are of use in the field of magnetic separation. The separation is done by passing the suspension with particles through a non-homogeneous high gradient magnetic field. For the generation of high gradient magnetic fields, there are used modern permanent magnets. The paper shortly cites some characteristics of used magnetically hard materials. Later, it deals with magnetic flux density distribution computation in the area of designed magnetic circuits in the selected directions. The taskhas been solved by the 2D programme FEMM based on Finite Element Method. The computations of results of selected models are compared with the results of measurements.
