One of the current projects solved in the Czech Armed Forces is aimed at knowledge system design and its usage in defense resort. The first part of this project is focused on ontology design and implementation to support command and control system (for both air and ground forces). After ontology design the implementation phase will follow. The C2 core can be supported by ontology to get needed information for decision making process. Based on the existing taxonomy, ontology and the whole knowledge system can be implemented. This system is able to discover a new and hidden relation between C2 domain topics. The article deals with the whole process and aspects of ontology C2 and knowledge system design
