Techniques for forecasting the minimum temperature are mostly empirically based, using collections of statistics over a long period of time for a range of weather situations. The very popular method is McKenzie?s method. Adjustment of McKenzie techniqueto the territory of Czech Republic could be very useful tool in particular forecast, especially in forecast of dangerous weather phenomena that are linked with minimal temperature prediction, e.g. forecasting of road surface conditions etc.
