Original language description
This article deals with modern ways of training pilots with the use of appropriate simulation and training technologies. The introduction analyses the problems of theoretical and practical training of pilots at the University of Defence in Brno, some specific features and challenges of the basic and intermediate training on Z-142, L-39, L-410 planes and Mi-2 helicopters, number of flight hours for individual aircraft as well as the possibilities of training on flight simulators and other simulation technologies. The contribution also provides a brief outline of the development of the pilot study branch from the point of view of the length of study, the demands made by the Air Force Command on the study branch and the capacities of the Air Force Department in fullfilling these demands.
