Current and the future Military Engineering (ME) information requirements considering Geodesy and Cartography
Original language description
The Aim of this article is to inform (Geodesy and Cartography) community about Military Engineer Information (MEI) Needs/Requirements during the process of planning of military engineer tasks according to basic NATO Military Engineer Agreements. The Authors suppose, that specifying and presentation of MEI needs would contribute to the further improvement of MEI systems, mainly Geografic Informaton Systems (GIS) and additional tools which should more reflect specialities of this broad area. Within The Czech Army, Geodesy and Cartography is not an integral part of Military Engineering, resources are limited and so it is not so easy to have an influence on the development of GIS or GIS based tools.
