    Characteristics of Duplex Coating on Austenitic Stainless Steel

  • Original language description

    The aim of the article is to describe duplex system of austenitic stainless steel X12CrNi 18 8 surface. Duplex coatings were deposited by combination of both plasma nitriding and PVD TiN/TiCN coating. Chemical composition by GDOES, light and confocal microscopy were used for evaluation of chemical composition and structure. Selected mechanical properties of duplex system were tested.
