Experimental Assessment of the Fragments Effect to the Fuselage of the Aircraft
Original language description
Presented work is focused on the assessment of the most probable way of attack, assessment of the effect of this attack and capability of the aircraft to continue in the flight after the damage. There was assessed attack of the missile with the fragmentation warhead as the most dangerous one. The influence of this attack can be simulated numerically using finite element method but for the validation of this calculation is necessary to make its experimental validation. We have chosen experiment with single fragments with known mass, velocity and the direction of the stroke to the impacted area. Results of this experiment were used for the improvement of the numerical calculation of the damage.
