Reliability allocation of combat vehicles
Original language description
The paper deals with reliability allocation regarding combat vehicles. The reliability allocation is the process where the reliability requirements for subsystems and system components are specified the way so that the resulting reliability level of thesystem as whole could meet the requirements. In the first part of the paper there is the description of a combat vehicle reliability model which is used for demonstrating suggested allocation processes. The second part of the paper is devoted to the methods and procedures of system reliability allocation. Two methods (Uniform and ARINC method) of the reliability allocation are described here. The uniform approach allocates requirements uniformly to the lower levels of a system. The ARINC method allocates requirements to the lower levels of a system taking into account the importance of individual subsystems and components. A practical example of the reliability allocation as for a combat vehicle is presented at the end of the article.
