Digital Elevation Models Created on the Basis of Airborne Laser Scaning and Possibilities of their Usage
Original language description
A lot of military and civilian applications need an exact digital elevation model (DEM) ? a digital terrain model (DTM) or a digital surface model (DSM). Nowadays in the Czech Republic there are used several DEM which are not suitable for a lot of application because of their both small accuracy and a lack of terrain details. One of modern methods which enables gathering exact spatial data for DEM creation of a large area is airborne laser scanning (ALS). This paper is dealing both with a current stateof a new elevation models creation of the Czech Republic on the basis of data got by ALS and with possibilities of their usage in the Czech Army.
