The paper deals with utilization of altimetric data of the airborne laser scanning by designing of military buildings. There are discussed parameter, pros and cons of new prepared digital altimetry database, which will be the result of the airborne laserscanning of Czech Republic (2009-2012). This new digital altimetry database will be composed of the digital elevation model 4. generation in a grid form, the digital elevation model 5. generation in a triangulated irregular network form and the digitalsurface model 1. generation in a triangulated irregular network form as well.
