RESPONSE TO CYBERNETIC ATTACKS
Original language description
The article deals with the issue of responding to cyber attacks, which have recently become a frequent subject of discussions in the context of armed forces and their fighting capabilities. The power of cyber-attacks is compared to that of mass destruction weapons with high non-lethal effects and devastating impact on the infrastructure of strategic importance. The awe-inspiring effects of cyber attacks result from their relatively low costs and anonymity. The developed countries are rightly afraid of conducting war in cyberspace, the area which obviously has no tangible parameters, as is the case in the real world. As for the Czech Armed Forces (CAF), the main effort is focused on developing sufficient protection against external threats and internaleavesdropping, which in practice means to support establishing CERT-type centers.
