    This paper deals with the problems and possibilities of the unmanned aerial vehicles (?UAV?) elimination using ground based air defence systems (?GBAD?). The matters of the whole target engagement cycle i.e. detection, identification, tracking, decisionmaking and target assignment to the effectors are solved in general features. The main accent is put on the final phase of this process i.e. target destruction. This article is the part of a broader work dealing with defence against unmanned attacking means and it follows-up to the previous outputs: ?Cybernetics playthings ? helpers and treat?, presented at the conference ICMT, Brno 2011 and ?Unmanned aerial vehicle attack elimination?, published in the conference proceeding AiM, Brno 2011.
