Original language description
Deflection measurements of loaded structures provide highly valuable information about their operating conditions. Dynamic deflection measurement of loaded engineer structures can be performed using various methods and approaches. This article is focusedon the possibilities of non contact deflection measurement which can be performed during engineer support operations. The alternative of using simple Doppler radar is also considered and potential advantages and disadvantages are discussed. Results of some measurements based on Doppler shift are presented and analysed.
