Original language description
Recent radar systems often use complex waveform to achieve better resolution and unambiguity in range as well as in Doppler measurement. This type of RADAR transmits a long pulse with internal modulation. It reaches an extensive range due to the high amount of energy in the long pulse and it uses various kinds of modulation. On the other end RADAR receiver incorporates a matched filter fitted to the character of the transmitted signal. The received pulse is then compressed after it passes the matched filter. In this manner a better range resolution is achieved. The goal of the paper is to present design of a radar pulse generator and a matched filter suitable to receive and decode the generated signal.
