Original language description
Surface properties of the bore are affected by a number of the factors during deep hole drilling. The paper deal with the analysis of the dynamic properties of the gun drill bit using the modal analysis. The obtained experimental results have shown thatself frequency of the gun drill bit is changed together with changing the drilling depth during deep hole drilling. These changes self-frequency of the gun drill may contribute to dynamical imbalance, which may cause changes of the geometrical parametersof the bore and increase surface roughness of the barrel bore.
