Photovoltaic Panel Modeling Using a Stochastic Approach in Micro-Cap

  • Original language description

The paper describes the method of creation of a real photovoltaic panel model in the environment of a well-known electronic circuit simulator Micro-Cap. The modeling is based on long-term measurements of the typical power-voltage characteristic; its operating points are realizations of a non-stationary stochastic process. The resulting circuit model is based on the approximation of the measured data and using the implicit circle equation. The original approximation method was published in 2012 and the recent model uses the resulting approximation coefficients. With the use of the original method, the parametric model of a photovoltaic panel is established and controlled by normalized solar irradiation. The model?s outputs are the values of power and voltage of the p/v characteristic. Their calculation is based on the use of the Analog Behavioral Voltage Source (NFV) component and the Spice command .define. The functional model can be used for various practically oriented experiments. I
