Original language description
The article deals with the topis of borrowings in the Czech language as well as with their use in foreign language training. In the first part, the procedures of borrowing foreign words, the rules, trickiness, etc. is described from the linguistic pointof view. In the second part, the results of a questionnaire survey are analysed. In this questionnairethe University of Defence students expressed their particular needs concerning the foreign language training especially in connection with the borrowings.
