Possibilities of measuring contamination of engine oil
Original language description
Tribological diagnostics is a non-destructive and non-disassembling diagnostic method. This study deals with the application of advanced methods of Tribotechnical diagnostics. The paper describes the most common used method for the detection content of fuel in the oil and compared from the point of effectiveness for Tribotechnical diagnostics and the connection method of infrared spectrometry with Fourier transform (FTIR) with the kinematic viscosity at 40 oC. The second part of the study presents the results of the measurement and compared particular methods of measurement. The performed experimental measurements of engine oil used in ACR with evaluation results are intended to optimize the introduction of resources of Tribotechnical diagnostics in monitoring the technical condition of internal combustion engines to stress on decreasing the cost of operation and maintenance.
