Original language description
This paper presents the Finite Element Method (FEM) analysis of a centrifugal compressor clearance of a TS-20 experimental small jet engine during its operation. Dilatations due to both the centrifugal and temperature loading were considered. Boundary conditions of the analysis were set by temperatures of the compressed air and compressor case that were measured during engine operation. The clearance between the impeller and its casing was analyzed in both radial and axial direction at three different points.
