Mathematical modelling of shooting resistance of vehicles with passive armor
Original language description
Presented paper deals with an issue of temperature effect on a hardness of a passive armor. There is derived a relation, which describes the dependence between a hardness of ARMOX 500T material and changes of a temperature, based on shooting experiment and FEM simulations. The results confirmed the original hypothesis that a hardness decreases with an increasing temperature. The changes of a Brinell hardness were only in units in a temperature interval from 17.1 °C to 90.5 °C.
