Missile Guidance Systems for UAS Landing Application
Original language description
The article deals with possible usage of current missile guidance systems and methods for unmanned aerial systems (UAS). Well known remote control, homing guidance or go onto location in space guidance (GOLIS) systems can be modified for UAS. Especially remote control and homing guidance systems can be used during the approach and landing phase. Mathematical and theoretical models of the systems were tested in the Webots robotic simulator using Matlab, C++ and VRML. The line of sight beam riding guidance (LOSBR) was chosen as a possibly appropriate system for autonomous UAV landing.
