Original language description
This paper investigates the effects of surface technologies to wear resistance of ISO 42CrMo4 steel, which is popularly used in weapon manufacture. The samples were quenched, tempered and then treated by tenifer, hard chrome and plasma nitriding technologies. The wear test based on principle “ball on disc” was performed to evaluate coefficient of friction and wear rate. The results were supplemented with hardness test and metallografical documentations.
